This is an amazing website to see and experience. The students have participated in building different parts of the site with Power Point and other programs. The layout is so user friendly and informative. It is wonderful to see the magic of storytelling encouraged with the Clow students participating in creative writing and telling. Students tell stories and you can listen to the audio on the web.
This is one of the stories you can hear on the website. Students tell in their own words.
A Dark and Stormy Night
Ruby Red Lips
I live in a house that stands alone on the top of a hill. A school is down the street.
One dark and stormy night when I was doing my homework I heard a strange noise. I heard a scratch, scratch, scratch on the window. I crept over to the window and to see what it was.
I saw this creepy old lady with red, red lips and long, long red fingernails. And she said, “Do you want to know what I do with my long red fingernails and my red, red lips?”
I said, “NO” and I shut the window.
The next night I heard the same scratch, scratch, scratch on the window. I was afraid it would be that same old lady but I went to the window. I was really scared.
It was that old lady and she said, “Now would you like to know what I can do with my long red fingernails and my red, red lips?”
Again I said, “NO” and I shut the window.
That night I just couldn't get to sleep because that old lady really gave me the creeps.
In fact I didn't get any sleep and got in trouble at school for falling asleep at my desk.
The next night I was at home doing my homework and again I heard that same scratch, scratch, scratch on the window. This time, I rushed over to the window and opened it and there stood that same old lady.
She said, “Now would you like to know what I do with my long red fingernails and my ruby red lips?”
“OK”, I said trying to be brave. Tell me and leave me alone.”
With that the old lady put her long red fingernail up to her red, red lips and went “blb-blb-blb---blb-blb-blb……..blb-blb-blb---blb-blb-blb.” I shut the window fast!
Any you know what? That old lady never bothered me again.
